From the beginning of our marriage my wife and I knew that we wanted to come and live in Israel; for me personally it had always been a lifelong dream.

Twelve or thirteen years ago we decided that it was time to start thinking more proactively about making the move and we decided that we should investigate purchasing a property in Israel.

Something we could potentially move into one day.

We bought "On Paper" which means from plans, i.e. something which was about to be or in the process being built, in an Anglo neighbourhood outside Jerusalem.

Whilst I can say that as investment is turned about to be a good one, we literally bought into the unknown and the process was difficult to say the least! As foreigners we paid over the odds for certain parts of the transaction and didn't really appreciate what was needed to make the most out of purchase and how to utilise best the different options which the Builder (Kablan) was offering us.

I feel personally that having gone through the process of buying from abroad I am uniquely able to appreciate the concerns that you may have and to watch out for your interests; essentially to ask the questions for you that need to be asked and get the right answers.

As your agent we are working solely for you, we are interacting daily with agents who will bring the seller to us based on what we are looking for therefore we can guarantee that there is no conflict of interest as we only have your interests in mind!

I have subsequently invested in other real estate that was in the process of construction, it used to be seen as a cheaper option as you get more for your money; this may still be the case in new cities or new suburbs but in Jerusalem it is often more expensive as far more luxurious and in many cases more pleasant on the eye than older buildings.

Within the realm of new builds there are a few different options to consider other than completely new structures such as Tama (Partially rebuilt buildings to make them up to the modern standard for earthquake protection) or Taba (zoning changes and increased building rights), combinations of the 2 and others.

We have vast experience with all of these and we are happy to advise you as per your need.
